Initial Comments

Process initiated on February 03, 2003:

On behalf of the U.S. Coast Guard (Seventeenth District), U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (Alaska Operations Office) and the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation, we are requesting comments for the preparation of an initial working draft of Change 3 to the Alaska Federal/State Preparedness Plan for Response to Oil and Hazardous Substance Discharges/ Releases (Unified Plan).

We request you review the existing plan and provide written recommendations for changes by
March 15, 2003.

We will review the proposed changes and incorporate appropriate comments into an initial working draft of Change 3.     The draft document will then be distributed to federal, state, local, industry, and public agencies for initial review and comment.
